Faltz Landscaping, Inc. and Faltz Deck and Patio Builders (FLI) specialize in computer landscape design and installation, deck and patio design and installation and landscape services including annual flower design and installation, lawn irrigation, landscape lighting, decorative retainer walls, lawn maintenance and consultation. In 2000, FLI entered the retail nursery business by offering large ornamental trees and shrubs hardy to Alaska. Its mission is to provide landscaping and deck and patio construction in a professional manner utilizing creative and unique designs to improve the quality and esthetics of the exterior construction in Anchorage.

The company was founded in 1992 by James A. Faltz who moved to Anchorage in 1984 from Sarasota, Florida.

Faltz, a third generation landscaper, learned his craft helping his father, James B. Faltz, a landscaper and excavator in Florida. He got his first job in Anchorage with Bush Landscaping, a well-respected landscape and nursery company. He worked with Jeff Dillon, a local landscape architect for seven years before starting his own company.

FLI implements a personal business theory of "quality before profits" and has realized a strong demand for its services due to repeat clients and client referrals. They have received numerous awards, including the 1998 Celebration of Anchorage Awards:  first place City of Flowers Mayor's award: first place 15-year maintenance award for work at the Calais Office Center: and first place TREEmendous Anchorage Mayor's award for the BP Exploration Building.

Faltz Landscaping Inc. is licensed, bonded, insured and our employees are fully covered under Worker's compensation. We maintain a strict employee and environmental safety program for the protection of all. Our staff is comprised of horticulturist, professional and experienced landscape, deck and patio designers, irrigation specialist, grounds maintenance specialist, licensed pesticide applicator, arborist, heavy equipment operators, and experienced office personnel.
